The preparation of a Risk Assessment is now an essential requirement for anyone planning a community event.

This book is intended as a guide for those unfamiliar with organising fairs, village fetes and town centre celebrations. It doubles as a handy revision guide for those more experienced.

It is based on the author’s experience as Project Manager on a wide variety of community events as well as Christmas Lights, Farmers Markets, Continental Markets and late night shopping events.

During 10 years as Hertford Town Centre Manager I worked closely with Council Officers, the Emergency Services and Highways Agencies.
