Yarn Bombers Tree

This is a photo of  yarn bombers Hertford’s Christmas tree.

It’s good to write about something that is worth coming into Hertford for. (see previous post) Click image to see full version.

It is almost impossible to calculate the number of hours these people have spent in designing, making and dressing this tree.

In the past I have returned Christmas trees to the supplier as totally unsuitable for display in the county town.

No such problems with this. It is unique, colourful and worthy of Hertford.

John Barber was born in London at the height of the UK Post War baby boom. He had careers in Advertising, International Banking and the Wine Industry before becoming Town Centre Manager in his home town of Hertford. He has been writing professionally since 1996 when he began to contribute articles to magazines on social and local history. His first published book in 2002 was a non-fiction work entitled The Camden Town Murder, a hitherto unsolved murder case from 1907.
