This is a brief resume of my career and illustrates the various areas in which I may be able to offer professional assistance.

I spent 17 years with National Westminster Bank in the City of London working mainly within International Banking. I developed a sound knowledge of foreign exchange dealings, import and export markets and Documentary Credits. My customer list included amongst others GEC-Marconi, British Shipbuilders, TI Group, Woolworths and Manchester United Football Club.

Following this I ran an Off Licence for 5 years doubling the turnover in three and gaining a sound knowledge of stock control, cashflow and merchandising.

I began to write for specialist magazines on the impact of the euro and developed an interest in social history. Many of my published articles are on this site including my recently published non-fiction title The Camden Town Murder.

My next move was as Town Centre Manager where I have introduced Farmers Markets, Continental Markets, training programmes and have been responsible for organising events, Christmas Lights and Town Watch initiatives as well as promoting the town and increasing tourism.

From this wide spectrum of disciplines I can offer advice and support on a freelance consultancy basis such as writing projects or press releases for the small to medium sized business sector. I am also available as Project Manager and advisor on town centre events or Christmas lights and if required guidance on business plans and grant applications.

For details of my latest project involving the innovative deployment of audio/visual tours around the county town of Hertford please see Hidden Hertford.
